The world we live in today is much different than
it was in the past. Modern life moves fast and changes often. New scientific discoveries happen almost everyday, so
we can only guess which discoveries and which scientists will begin the next revolution.
Throughout history great thinkers have made great discoveries
that have changed the way we see the world. Without the work that has been done in the past, none of today's technology
would be available. When Isaac Newton stated that if he had "seen farther it was only by standing on the shoulders of
giants", he gave credit to his dependence on those scientists that preceeded him. Newton was right: Without the
past, where would we be today?
